Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Campaign

The NHS is currently running a targeted Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening campaign across Greater Manchester. If you’re a man aged 65 or over, you may receive an invitation for a free screening.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms can be life-threatening if they are not detected early. Screening is a quick, painless ultrasound test that could save your life. Many AAAs don’t have symptoms until it’s too late, which is why early detection through screening is so important.

If you receive an invitation, please don’t ignore it.
