We accept repeat medication requests up to 7 days prior to the due date. Prescriptions can be requested online, via the collection box outside the surgery, or by your pharmacy.
Urmston Group Practice aim to process your request within 48 hours of receipt. This should give patients enough opportunity to obtain repeat medication in good time.
We acknowledge that sometimes things don’t always go to plan, and in such an event we will try to provide a prescription as soon as possible but may still be up to 48 hours during busy periods.
Only the following medications may be processed the same day:
- Adrenaline injections
- Asthma inhalers
- All palliative care medication
- Blood thinners
- GTN spray
- Insulins & associated devices
- Steroids (if taken daily or with antibiotics in rescue pack)
